The supply chain is a logistics network composed of suppliers, manufacturers, warehousing, distribution centers, and channel providers. In order to improve the maximum satisfaction of customers in the supply chain network, improve the reliability and flexibility of delivery, reduce company costs, reduce production and distribution costs, modern enterprises adopt supply chain management.
At present, although the concept of supply chain management and its importance are generally accepted and recognized, mature information technology, especially the technology that can provide supply chain management solutions for international multinational enterprises, is still lacking at home. To this end，Qingdao Innovation Institute intends to introduce Adexa, a US supply chain management supplier.
Adexa is the world's leading supplier of supply chain management, providing the best solution for enterprise supply chain planning through artificial intelligence technology. Adexa was founded by Dr. Cyrus Hadavi in 1994. Its core includes business operation planning, data modeling, and information collaboration technologies. It aims to bridge the gap between corporate stakeholders, geographical locations, customers and the supply chain. Adexa can help determine corporate strategic goals, coordinate upstream and downstream supply chains to meet these goals, and effectively implement target plans, and then monitor and measure progress using hundreds of key performance indicators.
Adexa is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with international offices in Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Adexa's global customer base includes hundreds of world 2000 industry leaders, such as: General Motors, Hitachi, Johnson & Johnson, Seagate, Hanes, Maytag, Philips, Morton Salt, Boehringer Ingleheim, Siemens, Boeing, Unilever, Schlumberger, Boeing, Panasonic, Samsung Toshiba, TSMC, Sharp Rainbow Machine and AMD.
On February 6, arranged by Mr. Mike Rossi, a member of the Adexa founding team, Dr. Yanong Huang, CEO of Qingdao Innovation Institute, and Dr. Cyrus Hadavi held a telephone conversation to discuss the introduction of Adexa in depth.
Dr. Cyrus Hadavi is an adjunct professor at Columbia University, where he teaches courses in the application of artificial intelligence in manufacturing; he is a star member of the University of Southern California ’s School of Global Global Supply Chain Management; he is a director of many high-tech companies; he was awarded a computer by the University of Southampton, UK Master and PhD in Engineering.
Dr. YanNong Huang and Dr. Cyrus Hadavi discussed the mode of introducing Adexa. Qingdao Innovation Institute integrates domestic and foreign high-quality resources and establishes entities. Specifically set up a joint venture composed of Adexa company, system integrator with channel resources and investors (QDII Industrial Fund or other investment institutions).
All parties invest in different ways and use this to exchange the corresponding equity ratio in the joint venture:
Adexa: software licensing and corresponding services for packaging systems;
· System integrators: market channels, system integration capabilities (and related qualifications);
· Investor: Cash
The Qingdao Innovation Institute attaches importance to the technical development and service quality of the supply chain management system, and has always maintained active cooperation and communication with Adexa. The CEO of QDII, Dr. Yannong Huang, went to the United States at the end of 2019 to make a special trip with Mr. Mike Rossi, one of the founders of Adexa. So far, there have been preliminary models for the introduction of Adexa. The Institute will continue to analyze industry practices and trends, keep up with the pulse of the times, deeply study the background of the supply chain management market, and promote the iteration and innovation of domestic business models.
