Cadol Cheung

Managing Partner of China Grand Prosperity Investment


Mr. Cadol Cheung joined China Grand Prosperity Investment as a partner at the end of 2013, and he also participated in managing the Beijing Integrated Circuit Industry Development Fund. Before this, Mr. Cheung founded the VC management company “Fuel Capital” in September 2009 to focus on China's emerging cleantech & healthcare opportunities.


Mr. Cheung worked at Intel Capital for a decade before starting his business. He was responsible for managing the investment business of a 30-member professional team of Intel in the Asia Pacific, which invested USD 700 million in total, including USD 480 million in Greater China, and successfully exited from more than 50 cases.


Mr. Cheung worked in Shanghai for 3.5 years as the General Manager of the Intel Architecture Development Lab in China. He led over 150 engineers to develop software products and provide technical support to some local independent software developers in China so that they could provide solutions applicable to Inter processors.


Mr. Cheung joined Intel in Hong Kong in 1983 to serve as a Quality Control Engineer of the Quality Supervision Department, and he served in many management positions thereafter, including the Information Services Manager, Business Planning & Information Services Manager, and Business Planning & Customer Services Manager in Intel Hong Kong between 1986 and 1992. Furthermore, he served as the Business Development Director of Intel China between 1994 and 1995 to be responsible for developing the telecommunication business in China. He served as the Technical Assistant to VP & APac GM of Intel between 1995 and 1996.


Mr. Cheung graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 1982 and obtained an MBA degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1996. He became a Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (MIEE) in 2002 and joined the Asia America Multi-Technology Association in 2009, and became a mentor of the Cradle Program in 2010.
