Serena Cheng leads business and product strategy by integrating go-to-market, technology, and design expertise to create new ventures and innovation opportunities. This is strengthened by her extensive hardware and platform experience, from managing cross-functional teams at Apple as a Mac and iPhone/iPad Product Marketing Manager and Google as a Chrome OS and Android Senior Business Product Manager. Serena has implemented successful business, product, and marketing strategies and execution for startups, nonprofits, and Fortune 100 companies.
She complements her big tech experience with advising and guiding new ventures on strategic vision, leadership development, and tactical execution. Serena worked at West to accelerate young start-ups and is an advisor for MIT Venture Mentor Services, SYPartners Leadfully Program, and Hacker Exchange accelerator. She loves coaching and taught business and go-to-market for the MIT Integrated Design Management Master's Program and is currently a member of the Vision Board.
Serena's interdisciplinary educational background spans Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin — Madison, Design & Interactive Media from the University of California — Berkeley, and a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her passions include social responsibility, travel, music, art and she is a certified yoga instructor and avid world explorer!
